Sometimes the pace of events does not allow for the time involved in requisitioning and planning a detailed project,
and in some cases the client might only need to cross check their own thinking on an issue. Harmattan is ready to
provide advice on demand, through either structured decision workshops or ad hoc discussion and guidance

Decision Workshop

An interactive session aimed at alignment around issues and options

Sometimes a client knows an operating environment well, but still faces a challenge in
articulating and aligning around key issues and how to manage them.

Harmattan can assist by designing and facilitating a tailored management workshop to identify
and align on key challenges, the options to address them, and a road map for going ahead.

We prepare with client interviews and background research, and by designing and preparing
the workshop. The relevant client team receives a pre-workshop briefing paper in advance so
that everyone is on the same page and is prepared for the discussion. The workshop, perhaps a
half or full day, then applies an analytical discussion framework, facts and insights, and
interactive discussion to yield clarity on key issues and what needs to be done.

Harmattan then summarises the findings in a concise report for the client team, to ensure that
the interactive session's results are captured for internal analysis and reference.
On-call Advice

Harmattan is also available at short
notice for discrete discussions about
challenges and options, ideally face to
face, but by any medium if need be.
Time to prepare for a session is very
welcomed, but we are prepared to
assist when time is a luxury that the
client does not have.

We can also act in a guiding capacity
to support the client's own risk
assessments and risk management
initiatives, either as an extension of
the client team, or as an on-demand
resource.
